By allowing you to choose the fabrics shown from our seasonal ready-made shirt's catalog, as well as offering you a variety of collar and cuff styles, you can have more control over an Ascot Chang Shirt than any other shirt you can buy from any other catalog or any other non-custom shirt store. In fact, your Ascot Chang Special Order shirt will fit you better than anything except a fully custom-made shirt (and we invite you to stop by one of our stores to enjoy that experience as well).

Fabrics are chosen painstakingly from the most serious weavers in the world. Swiss 200s two ply Egyptian cotton by Alumo is one of the best shirting fabrics that you can find. The superior quality fabrics with fashionable designs by Thomas Mason, Albini, T.E.S.T.A., and many more.

Single needle tailoring. French seams. Twenty-two stitches per inch using durable spun thread. There is no other acceptable method of creating a shirt. This process provides exceptional strength and outstanding heat and abrasion resistance. It means your shirts will last. Collar linings created to maintain their shape washing after washing.

Handpicked top quality shell buttons. Approximately 1.8 to 2 mm thick, polished and curved. Cross stitched to the shirt with twice the number of stitches to prevent their falling off. Buttonholes with twice the normal number of stitches for appearance and durability.

There are other more modern, less expensive techniques for making shirts than the ones we use at Ascot Chang.

But the shirt wouldn't feel right to me. More importantly, it wouldn't feel right to you.
